The Georgetown County Library reference section offers a comprehensive and varied collection of print and online tools and services to help you find the information you need.

PRINT COLLECTION: We have a complete collection of encyclopedias, almanacs, directories, atlases, manuals, and test prep materials at all four library branches.

ONLINE DATABASES: Access dozens of online databases through DISCUS, a free service for South Carolina residents sponsored by the State Library. DISCUS offers resources for students K-12 on a wide variety of topics. Click on our Discus logo below to find out more and link to the site.

PERIODICALS: Georgetown County Library subscribes to over 15 newspapers and more than 60 magazines. Back issues of newspapers are kept for three months. Back issues of the Georgetown Times are transferred to microfilm and housed in the Local History Room.
